I’ve had such a hard time finding a makeup wipe that is not only gentle enough to not make my sensitive skin break out, but also effective enough to remove even my most stubborn waterproof makeup. Recently I decided to purchase the Burt’s Bees Facial Cleansing Towlettes and I have fallen in love! These wipes are formulated for normal skin, ( as opposed to their Sensitive Skin, Normal to Oily, Normal to Dry Exfoliating, or Normal to Dry cleansing wipes), and works so well on my skin. Although I almost always wash my face before I go to sleep, (and YOU should too), these wipes give you a chance to take the day off and let your skin breathe before you cleanse it at night. Or, these wipes can be useful to remove your makeup before swimming, before working out, or before trying out a different makeup look!

You can purchase these wipes pretty much anywhere! I picked mine up at CVS, but you can also purchase them at Target or a Walmart!

| Camouflage |

When it comes to summertime, there is nothing I hate more than wearing a full face of makeup. I have always been very minimalistic when it comes to using products on my skin and it has taken me awhile to find the perfect balance between achieving a medium to full coverage look while using little to no product. I think I’ve finally found my holy grail item for just that!

ºMaybelline Super Stay Better Skin Concealer + Corrector:  This product offers perfect coverage for your undereyes as well as for blemishes without looking thick or cakey. Also because this product is infused with ACTYL C, (an antioxidant), that actually works to help heal your skin. (Obviously I wouldn’t rely on this alone to heal acne).

  • Shade: In the winter I normally use this shade while in the summer I use this one.

ºTo Apply: Instead of putting the wand directly onto my undereyes and blemishes, I take the wand and dab a dime-sized amount of product onto the back of my hand. From there I take my Sonia Kashuk Multipurpose Brush, dab it into the product, and apply it on my skin with a light stippling motion. I don’t like putting the wand directly onto my face because I don’t want to transfer any dirt or impurity from my skin back into the product. This way, I can ensure that every single time I use my concealer, I’m not using a product that has been affected by use on troubled skin.

ºSonia Kashuk Flat Top Multipurpose Brush: I purchased my brush at Target as part of a Limited Edition four piece core makeup brush set. I absolutely love this brush because it doesn’t soak up a lot of product into the bristles and it blends my concealer so naturally. If you aren’t interested in purchasing this entire set of brushes, you can purchase the brush separately here!

| Protect & Preserve |

This Mario Badescu daily moisturizer has become a favorite of mine because of its ability to not only preserve the moisture of my skin but also to protect against sun damage/wrinkles and fine lines because of its SPF content and unique collagen formula.

ºCollagen Mositurizer SPF 15, although lightweight, offers an antioxidant-infused hydration with a broad spectrum UVA/UVB protection. It contains collagen and cottonseed oil (which is rich in Vitamin E and essential fatty acids). These ingredients work together to support your skin’s firmness and elasticity as well as helping your complexion appear plumper and smoother. Although we only think to use SPF during the summer months, it’s SO important to protect your skin year-round.

This product is also available at Nordstrom, Anthropologie, and Ulta.

Although we only think to use sun protection and SPF during the hot summer months, it is SO important to protect your skin year-round and to use products that help prevent wrinkles even in your early 20s!

| Sunkissed |

In my opinion, the next best thing to laying out in the summer months is creating a makeup look that resembles a sunkissed glow. For this reason, these two products have become my go-to items this summer. Here’s why I love these items so much and how you can get your hands on them!

ºMaybelline Fit Me BlushThis blush is in the shade 208 or Medium Nude. I love this product because it isn’t too shimmery where it looks like you’re walking straight out of the 90s but it does have a little sheen to it that perfectly captures the light. This shade really compliments your bone structure while offering your face an overall warm glow. I have olive skin so this may not work for you if you are fair or if you have a deeper skin tone. In that case, I suggest this shade for fair skin and this shade for deeper tones.

This product is also available at Bed Bath and Beyond and Buy Me Beauty. (I picked mine up at the local CVS).

ºSonia Kashuk Tapered BrushI purchased this brush as part of a set sold at Target! This brush is amazing because its shape lends an easy application for inexperienced to professional users and is amazing quality. I find that this brush does not soak up or grab too much product but allows you to transfer the pigment easily from the product to your skin. If you aren’t interested in purchasing this entire set at Target (although you get more for your dollar if you do!), then here is a great Sonia Kashuk brush alternative!

|Go-To Palettes|

While I know there are extremely nice eyeshadow palettes out on the market today, (Such as the MAC and Laura Mercier), I love trying to find more affordable products that are in some ways comparable to the more expensive brands. Now there is a definite difference in quality between these products and high-end products, but here are two more affordable palettes that act as a great substitute if you’re looking to save a few bucks!

ºL’oréal La Palette Nude 1This palette retails for only $20 and contains both matte and shimmery shades which allow you to accomplish different looks all with the same palette. It comes with a nice sized mirror and its own eyeshadow brush! (Although, you should know the brush is not the best quality so I tend to use some EcoTools brushes). This palette is perfect for everyday wear and has become one of the staples in my makeup routine!

It is also available for purchase at Target, Walmart, and Ulta.

º Urban Decay Naked 2 Basics: This palette retails for $30 and has the quality of a full-sized Urban Decay palette but is less expensive. This palette contains six matte colors and a nice sized personal mirror. Each and every shade has amazing color payoff and is very blendable and it has become one of my very favorite makeup products. If you’re looking to give yourself a smoky eye for a night out or a softer look for your job, this is the palette for you!

This palette is also available for purchase at Sephora and Ulta!

| Face Mask |

I recently used the last bit of my Mask of Magnaminty face mask from LUSH! Everyone who knows me knows that I am obsessed with this company and with their commitment to hand-make all-natural products. I truly believe that the Earth provides everything that we need to heal and treat our skin! This particular face mask contains evening primrose seeds, kaolin clay and peppermint oil to clean your pores along with ground aduki beans that exfoliate your dry skin! Not only this, but also this face mask contains vanilla absolute and honey which calms redness, soothes and moisturizes your skin. I purchased this awhile ago and got about 7-10 uses out of it (which is great for the price of this product!) I normally use this mask one to two times a week and I can literally see a difference in my skin. Being that I have sensitive, acne-prone skin, I was so excited to find a product that was gentle enough to not make my skin freak yet effective enough to clear my mini breakouts! If you have used this product or if you have a face mask you want me to try out next, comment down below!

|Spring Lip Favorites|

As we cross the finish line of Spring and head into Summer (aka the best season), I thought I would share with you guys the lip products that I loved during Spring! Each of these shades could be worn in any season but I personally loved the way these products complemented my spring wardrobe. Comment down what your favorite spring lip product is!

ºMaybelline Color Blur: | Shade: Although the actual shade that I own is only available in certain stores (I’m Blushing!), the shade that is most comparable would be I Like to Mauve It. | This product is one of my all-time favorites because of how long-lasting it is! Not only is the formula matte but it also won’t make your lips dry or cracked. This product is double sided, one side with the lipstick and one side contains a smudger that you run over your lips to give the color that blurred effect. I would definitely recommend wearing a lip liner under it to give you a good base for longer wear.

This product is also available at: Ulta, Walgreens, and Amazon

ºMilani Amore Matte Lip Créme: |Shade 10: Adorable | You guys have already heard me talk about this product multiple times but I can’t help myself, I love it! This shade is a perfect transition from cold Winter months to Spring and even into early Summer. The formula is super long-lasting and dries very matte. I would suggest pairing this product with a lip liner as well just so the color has a good base to grab.

This products is also available at: Walgreens, Target, and CVS

ºRevlon Ultra HD Matte Lipcolor: | Shade: Comparable to HD Devotion and HD Intensity | This product I have had for a few months now and it has become one of my go-to’s because of its ability to compliment a variety of looks. The formula is very smooth and dries matte without being tacky. This product can be worn alone or paired with any lip liner (I personally don’t love the formula for Revlon’s lip liners).

This product is also available at: Ulta, Target, and CVS

| Skin Care Routine |

Okay you guys I have to be real here for a second. I have struggled with adult acne for three years now and have gone from product to product attempting to find anything that would help my skin. This is the first skin care line that I’ve tried that I saw real results within the first two weeks of using it! I know that everyone’s skin is different, BUT, if you have not tried the Mario Badescu skin care line, you definitely should! While Mario Badescu offers many amazing products, these specific products are my favorites!

| DETAILS & HOW TO |

°Enzyme Cleansing Gel: This face wash cleanses, brightens, and gently exfoliates all at once. It was made for all skin types and features fruit enzymes and alpha hydroxy acids (found naturally in Papaya and Grapefruit Extracts) to dissolve away makeup, oil, and impurities!

to use: Gently massage cleanser in circular motions on wet skin. Leave on for 1-2                              minutes to allow AHAs more time to dissolve away surface buildup, then                              rinse thoroughly with warm water.

º Glycolic Acid Toner This is an alcohol-free toner that contains Glycolic Acid and Grapefruit Extract to exfoliate your skin and to sweep away impurities. It also contains aloe vera and alpha hydroxy acids that both condition the skin and work to minimize the appearance of fine lines, wrinkles, and discoloration.

to use:  Use every time you finish cleansing your face! Apply it to your skin with a cotton ball or pad and be sure to wipe in sweeping, outward motions until the cotton comes up clean.

°Seaweed Night Cream: This moisturizer is mineral-rich and has bladderwrack extract that softens and nourishes skin as powerful, without clogging your pores! It also contains plumping collagen and elastin that help further enhance your skin’s tone and texture.

to use: Lather on entire face after cleansing and toning it.

ºDrying Lotion: This is an award-winning spot treatment that is specially formulated with Salicylic Acid, Sulfur, and Zinc Oxide to help draw impurities from the skin and target pimples while you sleep!

to use: Try your hardest not to shake the bottle! After you cleanse and tone your face, dip a cotton swab into the pink sediment at the bottom of the bottle. Dab directly on the whitehead; do not rub in. Let dry and rinse off in the morning.

°Silver Powder: This powder works to decongest and clarify your complexion with natural minerals like Kaolin, Calcium Carbonate, and Zinc Oxide that purify your pores and reduce blackheads. After you use this, your excess oil, buildup, and pore-clogging impurities will be drawn out and you’ll have healthier looking skin!

to use: Dip a dampened cotton pad into powder to create a paste-like texture and press it on the T-zone. Wait 10 minutes and remove by wiping off with a toner.

(If you don’t want to pay for shipping, these products are also available at Nordstrom’s, Ulta Beauty, and Urban Outfitters.)
