I took a little hiatus this summer to get some new ideas and some fresh inspiration! It’s so important to take time for your personal health when you need to and to know your limits! BUT I’M BACK!
Today I’m going to briefly talk about layering up this fall. It’s getting colder (at least in Michigan that is) and I know every girl’s temptation is to give in to the sweatpants and hoodie or leggings and crewneck look all winter. Don’t get me wrong, these aren’t bad looks on days where you’re hanging at a coffee shop or just running errands. HOWEVER, if you’re looking for a low maintenance look that seems somewhat put together, try layering things you already own! I LOVE layering because you can make a variety of brand new outfits with different pieces in your closet (and I’m all about saving that cash!) Try pairing a form fitting zip-up with a looser fitting jean jacket (as pictured). A good rule of thumb is pairing something form fitting with something looser fitting so that your natural figure isn’t compromised. I always finish off the look with a plain pair of pants or dark denim so that I don’t distract from the layers and a hat that has fall colors (mustard yellow, olive green, dusty pink) to keep me warm and to add a pop of color.
I’ve had such a hard time finding a makeup wipe that is not only gentle enough to not make my sensitive skin break out, but also effective enough to remove even my most stubborn waterproof makeup. Recently I decided to purchase the Burt’s Bees Facial Cleansing Towlettes and I have fallen in love! These wipes are formulated for normal skin, ( as opposed to their Sensitive Skin, Normal to Oily, Normal to Dry Exfoliating, or Normal to Dry cleansing wipes), and works so well on my skin. Although I almost always wash my face before I go to sleep, (and YOU should too), these wipes give you a chance to take the day off and let your skin breathe before you cleanse it at night. Or, these wipes can be useful to remove your makeup before swimming, before working out, or before trying out a different makeup look!
You can purchase these wipes pretty much anywhere! I picked mine up at CVS, but you can also purchase them at Target or a Walmart!
