|Makeup Bee-Gone |

I’ve had such a hard time finding a makeup wipe that is not only gentle enough to not make my sensitive skin break out, but also effective enough to remove even my most stubborn waterproof makeup. Recently I decided to purchase the Burt’s Bees Facial Cleansing Towlettes and I have fallen in love! These wipes are formulated for normal skin, ( as opposed to their Sensitive Skin, Normal to Oily, Normal to Dry Exfoliating, or Normal to Dry cleansing wipes), and works so well on my skin. Although I almost always wash my face before I go to sleep, (and YOU should too), these wipes give you a chance to take the day off and let your skin breathe before you cleanse it at night. Or, these wipes can be useful to remove your makeup before swimming, before working out, or before trying out a different makeup look!

You can purchase these wipes pretty much anywhere! I picked mine up at CVS, but you can also purchase them at Target or a Walmart!

| Protect & Preserve |

This Mario Badescu daily moisturizer has become a favorite of mine because of its ability to not only preserve the moisture of my skin but also to protect against sun damage/wrinkles and fine lines because of its SPF content and unique collagen formula.

ºCollagen Mositurizer SPF 15, although lightweight, offers an antioxidant-infused hydration with a broad spectrum UVA/UVB protection. It contains collagen and cottonseed oil (which is rich in Vitamin E and essential fatty acids). These ingredients work together to support your skin’s firmness and elasticity as well as helping your complexion appear plumper and smoother. Although we only think to use SPF during the summer months, it’s SO important to protect your skin year-round.

This product is also available at Nordstrom, Anthropologie, and Ulta.

Although we only think to use sun protection and SPF during the hot summer months, it is SO important to protect your skin year-round and to use products that help prevent wrinkles even in your early 20s!

| Sunkissed |

In my opinion, the next best thing to laying out in the summer months is creating a makeup look that resembles a sunkissed glow. For this reason, these two products have become my go-to items this summer. Here’s why I love these items so much and how you can get your hands on them!

ºMaybelline Fit Me BlushThis blush is in the shade 208 or Medium Nude. I love this product because it isn’t too shimmery where it looks like you’re walking straight out of the 90s but it does have a little sheen to it that perfectly captures the light. This shade really compliments your bone structure while offering your face an overall warm glow. I have olive skin so this may not work for you if you are fair or if you have a deeper skin tone. In that case, I suggest this shade for fair skin and this shade for deeper tones.

This product is also available at Bed Bath and Beyond and Buy Me Beauty. (I picked mine up at the local CVS).

ºSonia Kashuk Tapered BrushI purchased this brush as part of a set sold at Target! This brush is amazing because its shape lends an easy application for inexperienced to professional users and is amazing quality. I find that this brush does not soak up or grab too much product but allows you to transfer the pigment easily from the product to your skin. If you aren’t interested in purchasing this entire set at Target (although you get more for your dollar if you do!), then here is a great Sonia Kashuk brush alternative!

| Rain, Rain, Go Away |

Be prepared for ANY weather in these amazing and fashionable Hunter boots! I wear these boots not only on rainy days like today, but even in the winter months when there’s snow on the ground. (For extra warmth during winter wear, you can purchase these boot socks!) I love the matte finish on these boots as opposed to their high-gloss option. Also, I recommend choosing an easy-to-pair color such as olive (pictured), black, grey, or blue. If you’re looking for a completely different style, check out Hunter’s short cut boots here!

| May Favorites |

The is the first installment of my new series of monthly inspirational favorites! Each month, I will be sharing with you some of my all-time favorite materials as well as any great things I discovered that month! This first post contains a combination of old favorites as well as some new ones. Feel free to comment below what books, sermons, teachings, videos, or songs have been inspiring you lately!

These three books have truly shaped who I am not only as a Christian, but as a human being.

ºCaptivatingThis book, by John and Stasi Eldredge, is an amazing read for those struggling with their sense of self. Each and every chapter is geared to help the reader understand who they were made to be and what their identity is in Christ. This book truly changed the way that I view myself as well as the way that I view other women. I would totally recommend this book for personal reading and reflection, for a book club, a women’s Bible Study, or for a mother and daughter to read together. If you’re looking for materials for said groups, John and Stasi have provided a DVD set, a leader’s guide, and a study guide to aid larger groups. | This book is also available on Amazon as well as at Barnes and Noble! |

º The Power of a Praying WomanThis book is another one of my all-time favorites because of its explanation of the power of prayer. I know that sometimes it is easy to doubt if God is truly listening to all of the things you pray. However, this book not only encouraged me to continue those conversations with God, but it also inspired me to not be afraid to ask for big things from God. I strongly recommend this book as well as another other “The Power of a Praying…” series of books that Stormie Omartian has written.

º Everyday Church: This book was actually on my list of required reading materials for my classes at Liberty University. I was surprised at how these authors were able to expand my understanding of what true “church” is. Not only do they use easy-to-read language but they also use Scripture to show how the Bride of Christ should truly be functioning in today’s world. | This book is also available here! |
